I have a xbox series x with e100 error code. It boots up straight to the update and then throws this error try to factory reset and USB update but just boots to update over and over. Where do I begin to test on the board to try to fix

E100 what? Specifically the code after that.
E100 is core firmware update fail, specific parts and errors are indicated with the two hex parameters behind it, but most common ones are disc drive missing or mismatched.

My error code is: E100 0000070D 80070001. What does this mean?
In my case, “e100 00000703 80910002” was due to an unplugged bd-rom (wanted to keep physical access to the storage disk while doing all the experiments with my xbox). After that, had to restart the offline OS installation, since xbox reboot was giving another error. Hope this helps.

Can we just remove OPTION 2? The Series X does NOT have a drive that can be removed as the storage is on the main board.
